VITICULTURE

This wine comes from vineyards of over 10 years of age. The planting of our vineyards was made following quality criteria, seeking low yields and small-berry bunches. Therefore, the density of plantation is very high (4,000 plants per hectare, according to a plantation frame of 2.5 x 1 metre). Furthermore, we are able to manage the hydric stress of the plants thanks to weather stations situated on the vineyards, thus attaining a greater concentration in the berries.

Alcoholic fermentation for 10 days. Maceration in contact with the skin for 18 days. Fermentation temperatura 28ºC. Malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

12-month ageing in American oak barriques with two rackings, followed by at least six months ageing in the bottle before market release.

TASTING NOTES

Bright, middle intensity colour. Aromas of ripe fruit, blackberries, blackcurrants, well integrated in toast, cinnamon, caramel and toffee aromas. Silky and pleasant palate with a great fruit expression. Long and with great quality tannins.
