All that we do in the cellar over the whole year has one only aim: To reproduce in our wines the true character of Rioja Vega’s vineyards.

Turning terroir into wine

The current building was founded in 2002 with the purpose of preserving the tradition of the original cellar raised in Haro back in 1882. In other words, to honour Rioja by making wines of the highest quality possible. Rioja Vega’s current facilities are equipped with the most sophisticated technology which is wisely combined with the traditional Rioja winemaking approach. This ideal blend, together with our growing experience on the vineyard, guarantee the authenticity of Rioja Vega’s wines.

Historic bottle-ageing hall

Over the years, we have kept bottles of ancient vintages of our wines which are showcased in the barrel-ageing hall, in an area which we especially dedicate to wine tourism. This way our visitors can easily check the evolution of label-design trends, typography, colours, and so on.
