Garnacha
VINEYARD
Grapes are sourced from an exclusive selection of two parcels: Finca Cubillas and Finca La Real. These vineyards are located in the central Rioja region, where hot summers, mild autumns, and cool winters allow for the production of high-quality Garnacha with excellent ripeness and health, capturing the essence of the terroir. The poor, stony, and well-drained soils contribute to low yields, enhancing varietal concentration, sweet tannins, fruit expression, and elegance.
PRODUCTION AND AGING
Strict temperature control is maintained from the moment the grapes arrive at the winery. A gentle destemming process ensures the grapes remain intact. A light pre-fermentative cold maceration is carried out, delaying the start of fermentation and allowing for a slow and gradual extraction of fruit aromas and compounds that contribute to the wine’s color and structure.
Alcoholic fermentation lasts for 10 days at a controlled temperature not exceeding 26ºC, with pump-overs to ensure even extraction. A post-fermentative maceration follows for 4 days.
Malolactic fermentation takes place in American oak barrels, with aging on fine sediments for a total of 2 months.
COLOR
Bright red with medium intensity.
AROMAS
Intense notes of ripe red and black fruits, wildflowers, and a subtle mineral touch from the very first impression.
PALATE
A smooth and velvety entry, complemented by the freshness and sweetness of ripe fruits. The flavors linger on the palate long after each sip, offering a lasting and expressive finish.
